Gene therapy is a procedure for treating possible fatal or disabling diseases by altering the expression of a person’s genes in line a therapeutic goal. The objective and aim of gene therapy is centred on rectifying disease at DNA level and to compensate for the abnormal genes.

Knockout gene therapy aims at the products of oncogenes (a gene that can stimulate the formation of tumour) with effort to rendering them inert and decrease the growth of cell.

As a result of increasing knowlegde of gene therapy in malignant mesothelioma treatments of cancer, their roles and functions, and the administeration and delivery systems, this therapy has a promising future.

Mesothelioma gene, has been a great level of success in the detection of malignant mesothelioma cancers in its early stage, and the treatment options onces mesothelioma cancers is comfirmed has been improved greatly, but there are still many more cancers, mesothelioma cancers inclusive which can not be cured and still experiencing difficulty to treat effectively.

In the past years, researchers have learned so much about how cancerous cells vary from normal cells and in an effort to discover drugs without the possibly severe side effects of chemotherapy, have now discovered drugs which target the tumor itself while sparing the body’s normal cells.
